In a season of global uncertainty, we’re determined to do all we can to ensure no child in the Springfield area goes hungry. We are calling this effort the #ServeSpringfield Food Drive.
NEEDED FOOD ITEMS
The following food items are needed as soon as possible. (Please donate items specifically mentioned on this list ONLY.)
- Cereal
- Granola Bars & Breakfast Bars
- Pasta & Sauce
- Macaroni & Cheese (complete box set)
- Bread/Peanut Butter/Jelly
- Fruit, Jello & Pudding Cups
- Crackers (Graham, Oyster, Club, Saltines, etc.)
- Canned Soups & Boxed Meals
- Bags of Apples, Oranges, Potatoes (please stick to this list)
COLLECTION STARTS TODAY
Simply pull up your vehicle in front of West Side’s Main Entrance to drop off your items. Collection will take place immediately inside the entrance, making the process quick and easy.

- Monday, March 16, 8:00am-5:30pm
*We will assess any additional need and determine future steps on Tuesday.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION: Attention Principals!
We will partner with local educators already in the trenches with kids and families who are in need of a hand-up during the upcoming school shutdown. Principals may request food for families by filling out our online form. Our team will respond via email to confirm if we can meet your need and to coordinate a pick-up time. School staff are responsible for picking up food boxes from West Side’s Main Entrance and distributing to the families from their school community.
SHOPPING ASAP
If your schedule allows, would you consider shopping and delivering items today so we can get a jump-start on helping our schools before break begins? If you are a person who recently stock-piled extra items in your home, perhaps the first place you could look to “shop” is in your own home.
