Hebrews 10:16-19

“’This is the new covenant I will make

with my people on that day, says the Lord:

I will put my laws in their hearts,

and I will write them on their minds.’

Then he says,

‘I will never again remember

    their sins and lawless deeds.’

And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.”

Reflection

Do you want to experience God’s forgiveness and mercy?

Pause and consider God’s plan for taking on the full punishment of sin on the cross. Consider your own sin and what it means for Jesus to pay for your forgiveness with his life.

Take a moment to thank God for fully accomplishing everything needed for you to be forgiven and confidently in his presence.

Pray

  • to receive God’s mercy and grace in the ways you need it most
  • for gratitude to God for his kindness and compassion

Jesus, our sin cost you everything. Thank you for being willing to take the punishment once and for all. You are worthy, Jesus, Lamb of God, to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise! (Revelation 5:12)
