In the weeks leading up to Christmas, we want to practice and experience hope. Advent is a spiritual season that reminds us that God is at work in our waiting. We’re providing several resources and prompts to help us hold onto the hope of Jesus throughout December.

Advent Calendar - The Bible Project

This Advent calendar from The Bible Project is designed to encourage deeper meditation on the themes of Advent, helping you engage the season in a fuller way. It begins on the first Sunday of Advent, and each day offers one or two verses from Scripture to consider, along with an accompanying question to help spark reflection.

Weekly Lectionary Scripture Reading - Advent

Many Christian churches use a common Scripture reading plan for each Sunday of the year (the Revised Common Lectionary). This website allows you to see and read the Scriptures for the season of Advent (as well as some written prayers and artwork). Each Sunday has an Old Testament reading, a Psalm, a New Testament reading, and a Gospel reading. These Scriptures could be read in personal quiet time or with family and friends around the Advent candle lighting.

This website shows the weekly Scripture readings for the season of Christmas (as well as some written prayers and artwork). In the Christian church year, Christmas is a season that begins on December 25th and lasts for 12 days.
