The kids at Christian Day Care Center have
now become students at Springfield Christian Preschool as the center's
name has changed to better reflect it's objective to plant and grow in
students the ability to learn and think creatively in an environment

SCS families, guests pack the Open House
It was definitely standing room only at
the SCS all school Open House held Thursday, March 14. Parents and
grandparents enjoyed a glimpse of their students' work from this school
year, while our guests delighted in the preview of what our school has
to offer. Junior high students gave us a sneak peek of their
speech and scholastic bowl talents, as well as a musical showcase.
Everyone enjoyed the last day of the Scholastic Book Fair where students
were eager to guess the number of pieces of candy in a guessing jar.
There were actually 131 pieces of candy in the jar. Four students
guessed within one piece of candy so Mrs. Cordell drew a name (of those
4) out of the hat, and the grand prize winner is Selena H.
Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you for participating.
would like to thank everyone who helped with this year's book fair.
"We raised $1,300 for the library and earned over $600 Scholastic
dollars to be used to buy books for the library," she says. "I
am one happy . . . librarian!"
